A wide range of shops nearby, from small boutiques and specialist shops up to large shopping centres, and supermarkets. The fish market in Lagos is open every morning except Sunday where you can purchase fish and seafood fresh off the boat.
There is a farmers market on in Lagos every Saturday morning where you can mingle with the locals to buy fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, bread and even live chickens, ducks and rabbits if you wish.

You should also take a trip to the villages of Monchique and Caldas da Monchique to sample the spa waters and olde-worlde charm (and to eat the famous local specialty, Chicken Piri-Piri.)
